Wine Tasting - Saturday 1-4PM, Aug 10

Your Host is Peter Slywka of Michael Skurnik Wines.

Hofer Gruner Veltliner 2012      $13.99/1 Liter
Light straw color. Food-friendly and fresh - tart lime and "rainwater over rocks" minerality.  Citrus fruit, white pepper and fresh acidity in a very long finish. Balanced, interesting and refreshing.

Gobelsburger Rosé 2012                $15.99
The nose is full of blackberry, cherry, and coconut-tinged tropical notes.  Medium bodied,  silky and round, this has zippy acidity.  The flavors of candied blackberry and cherry are very good, and are magnified by the crisp acidity and mouthwatering minerality.

The Pinot Project 2012                     $12.99
Hand-crafted from the finest California PINOT Noir grapes. Pure PINOT aromas and flavors -- black cherries kissed by oak and complimented by just the right amount of Asian spice. Extremely versatile with a host of your favorite dishes.

La Rioja Alta Gran Reserva Rioja 2001  $49.99
Dark ruby-colored with a garnet rim, it displays a lovely nose of Asian spices, incense, tobacco, balsamic, and blackberry. On the palate it has exceptional depth, layers of spicy black fruit, excellent ripeness, and an elegant personality. Upon release it should continue to evolve for another 5-6 years and drink well through 2040.  Wine Advocate, 96 pts
