Rosé of the day - Monday August 5, 2013

Crios Rosé of Malbec 2012  $11.99

Tasting notes: A beautiful, deep, vibrant rosé color. Has a surprising amount of glycerin and body for a rosé wine, and beautiful aromas of ripe wild strawberries. On the palate, the flavors of strawberries and cherries come rushing in, accompanied by some spice notes and a clean, dry finish. This is the wine to serve with warm-weather meals when there is a mix of traditional white & red wine foods. Keep one in the fridge at all times and you’ll always have a delicious wine to enjoy with light snacks and cheeses. Best consumed in its youth.

Varietals: Malbec

Grenache and Vermentino

Region: Mendoza, Argentina

Friday's answer:
It is a little surprisining how fast the summer is moving. Here we are in August already and there is still so much left of this town. We really tdid believe that we would begin to struggle for subjects by this time but even with the massive Rosé collection we have in our wine room, we will run out of selection before we run out of places to show in this town. Labor day represents the final day of this promotion so if you feel like we are missing something important please chime in.

In The meantime...

Mark Sudikoff was our first correct answer on Friday with "Avath Achim on Stratfield." He also asked  "Is that a Kosher rosé?" Sorry to say that we did not use a Kosher Rosé for the picture.Poor planning on our part I guess.

Chefmichaelatyourservice was our other answer on Friday with "I think Mark is correct, but on the chance he isn't I will say Temple Beth El on Fairfield Woods Rd" In fact Mark was correct and we already did Congregation Beth El some time back.

Finally, Mark (MIA, again...) did not find time in his schedule to stop by and "like" or comment on Friday's clue but instead decided that it would be a good idea to make us worry all weekend about his safety. His brother Kevin was by on Saturday to "like" the Two Roads post we shared but not big brother. We were finally able to breath again when he popped by and "liked" Lily's picture yesterday. Care to explain yourself, Making us worry like that?!
Not good Mr. Beyerly, not good...
