Beer Tasting 4 - 7pm Friday, Aug 2

Your host will be Alex of Harry's.

Harpoon IPA           $9.29/6pb
Filtered and force carbonated.
Ingredients: Water, Three malts, including a 2-row pale, Northwest Cascade Hops, and Yeast.  This copper colored ale is floral, medium bodied, with a crisp, refreshing finish. Originally our summer seasonal in 1993, it is now available year-round. Harpoon IPA was ranked atop both domestic and imported IPAs by Beer Connoisseur Magazine.

Rogue Dad’s Little Helper Black IPA                $7.29/22oz
After the death of his wife, Henry Jackson Smart was left to raise his 6 young children alone. His courage, love, selflessness and dedication inspired his daughter, Sonora Smart Dodd, to organize the first Father’s Day on June 19th, 1910. In 1924 President Calvin Coolidge proclaimed the third Sunday in June as Father’s Day. President Nixon, in 1972, established it as a permanent day of national observance. Dad’s Little Helper Black IPA is deep mahogany in color with roasted malt and hop aromas and dense creamy head. It enters the palate with intense hop flavor and coats the tongue with a rich maltiness from the Rogue Farms Risk Malt. Beer stats: 15º PLATO 70 IBU 73 AA 77º Lovibond Malteries Franco-Belges, Carawheat, Weyermann Melanoidin, Wyermann Carafe Special II & Rogue Micro Barley Farm Risk Malts; Newport, Chinook & Rogue Micro Hopyard Rebel Hops, Free Range Coastal Water.
Laughing  Dog Sneaky Pete Imperial IPA                  $9.99/22oz
Sneaky Pete is a blend of five hop types: Simcoe, Glacier, Centennial, Vanguard and Hallertuaer, with Simcoe playing the dominate role at 30%. In addition, three separate malts were used: Honey Malt, Rye Malt, and Munich Malt. The brew has a copious aroma of white grapefruit, citrus overtones, a complex rich middle and long flavors in the finish; a real beauty. Finished with wild clover honey.
Two Roads Honeyspot Road White IPA           $9.69/6pb
The Two Roads interpretation of this emerging beer style naturally takes a road less traveled. Unlike other versions, ours employs an American ale yeast and no spices. The result is a soft wheat backdrop that accentuates the Pacific Northwest hop character.
