Thursday's Answer:Let see if I can head some of you off at the pass... No this is not the Stratfield section and yes it does deserve recognition as does our Tunxis hill section, the University area and so on. I saw these Fire Hydrant guys this week and thought about the idea that our town is going to turn 375 years old in just a few months and it got me thinking about our history. That is the basis for one of our final two Rose of the day posts. We have more to say on Monday as we wrap up what we think has been lots of fun and hopefully it has helped all of us look at how lucky we are to live here and be part of this great community.
I have been saying for weeks that it was going to be impossible to get all of this town in during our promotion this spring and summer, the good news is that we will be celebrating the 375 years with everyone and we think that we'll be able to show more what this town is all about while we do that.
Ok, Yesterday...
Our quickest player on Thursday was Lynne D'Eramo whom we miss since she moved to North Carolina but we are glad that she remembers us and her town. Maybe we'll tempt her back at some point. Her gues was "Greenfield Hill Center" and of course she was right. Thanks Lynne, hope to see you soon
Next, Susan L. Melcher who has also been a regular contributor throughout the game posted "Yep. Greenfield Hill center." She, of course, was also right. Thanks Susan!
Kevin (late to the party) Beyerly made it by and has also become a very regular player for the latter part of the summer while he has followed in his big brothers foot steps. His contribution yesterday was "Wow, people were right on top of this today. Greenfield Hill. The rockman is awesome sporting this Rose!" I agree Kevin, the rock man is pretty cool!
He also reminded us that we are nearing the end with "Two(again) and counting."
Chefmichaelatyourservice was a little more specific saying "Bronson Road... Starting with the nurseries & ending with greenfield hill shopping center." Right on target chef! The good chef has also made it his business to be a big part of the game and has been by on most days to add to the mix. Even looking into the future a time or two. Thanks chef!
Thursday wrapped up with The man I called the one to watch very early on. He is our most consistant player and has taken the most abuse along the way. Mark (The King) Beyerly has used his wit and smarts to play this game and help to keep it interesting and fun. Yesterday he concurred with the others posting "Greenfield Hill indeed." He then gave a little back to me by writing "And in the lower right corner it looks like Patrick has been working out. Must be all those cases of rosé..." I'm not sure if he is calling me a rock head or giving me a nice compliment but I would say that he is probably looking at it both ways. Cheers Mark!
Ok lets see what our final Friday brings!
