Happy Thanksgiving!

Were reaching out a little early this week to wish you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving! The store will be open Tuesday and Wednesday from 8am-9pm and there is still plenty of time to get your supplies.

The weather forecasters are calling for rain and snow on Wednesday so consider coming today and getting the shopping out of the way as some areas are calling for a fairly sizable snowfall and it will be sloppy on Wednesday is any case.

We will NOT be open Thursday, Instead we will be celebrating Thanksgiving with our families and we encourage you to take the opportunity to spend time with your family and friends on the most American of holidays with Turkey and all of the trimmings.

We've got our favorites for this holiday stacked and ready to go and our staff ready and willing to help you make your selection and get it all safely packed in your car before heading home or over to the relatives house to celebrate.

Our sincere thanks to all of our customers for your loyal support as we look forward to visiting with our own loved ones once the craziness of Wednesday subsides. Don't worry everyone, we will be open again on Friday.
Cheers to all!

William, Patrick, Scott, and the whole Harry's family!

De Toren Fusion V 2011     $59.99

A polished style, with alluring mocha and black tea aromas that meld with the crushed plum, steeped blueberry and macerated currant fruit. Siesta Malbec 2010     $22.99
Bright ruby-red. Slightly port-like aromas and flavors of black cherry, fig, licorice and mocha oak lifted by a whiff of candied violet. Round, dense and glyceral, but with good verve to the plush, sweet middle palate. Finishes with sexy nutty and chocolatey oak tones and excellent length. Has the balance and firm tannic structure to reward at least few years of cellaring. International Wine Cellar, 90 pts

Mont Redon Cotes De Rhone 2012    $16.99
This wine is deep violet red in color and the nose is intensely fruity, with mineral notes. This vintage brought remarkable freshness, as well as balanced tannins. Dark berries and raspberries on the palate are offset by slight grilled notes and nuances of licorice. Winemaker’s Notes

Beer Tasting 4-7pm Friday, Nov. 21st

Your host is Tony from Cisco Brewery

Whales Tale                   $10.49/6pb
An amber English-style ale that has a nice balance between hops and malt. It's the most popular of our beers and the most versatile in terms of pairing with food or people.

Pumple Drumkin                   $9.99/6pc
On Nantucket a Pumple named Drumkin, brewed up some great ale with his pumpkins. One and all came to savor the delicious flavor, then wobbled around quite like bumpkins. At Cisco they thought, "The is De-Lish! Let’s make some more because we wish, to please all the tourists, and locals and purists, with the best ale that we can accomplish!"

IPA                                $10.49/6pc
Finally an American-style IPA from us... This beautiful red-orange ale has a full malty body balanced by a fruity apricot/grapefruit nose. Mounds of dank Summit hops in the whirlpool and dry-hop additions provide a deliciously quenching finish to this East meets West-coast ale.

owner/winemaker Andrew Murray in the store.

His Syrah was featured in the movie.

Syrah Watch Hill Vineyards 2012            $24.99
The aromas and flavors lean toward bright red fruits...cherries, raspberries, currants, and cranberries, with just a touch of a floral/violet note (from the Viognier) with a spicy note dominated by fresh black pepper and a dose of sweet French oak.  Winemaker’s Notes

Syrah Tous les Jours 2013                       $15.99
This has real definition, its ripeness held in tension against cooling, earthen tannins that feel integrated and appetizing. With mouthwatering flavors that suggest dark plums and dried herbs, it belongs next to a platter of grilled lamb chops.  Wine & Spirits, 92 pts

Viognier 2013                                            $19.99
The dominant flavors and aromas are of apricots, peaches, honey, and a subtle citrus edge.  In the mouth, the wine is lush and rich with an incredibly long finish. Winemaker’s Notes

E11even Pinot Noir 2013                          $15.99
Pure, authentic, Santa Maria Valley Pinot Noir is the goal here.  The alcohol is moderate, the body is medium with a wonderfully soft finish, and the acidity is there, but harmoniously in check.  The resulting wine is a 5 guitar harmony.  Winemaker’s Notes

The cold weather is here! Beers that were brewed with that in mind

The cold weather has finally arrived here in Connecticut and the release of seasonal beers is right on time to meet Jack Frost.
