Friday Tasting
Scott Valley From

Charter Oak Brewing

Brown Ale 6pkbtl $10.29
The 1687 Brown Ale pours a rich dense brown shade with a faint citrus aroma. This brewery uses both malted and roasted barley in this beer for a total of seven types of barley which allow for a wonderfully complex taste, yet well balanced.  Of particular surprise is just how clean this beer finishes, leaving no residual on the tongue. Interestingly enough, the 1687 Brown Ale also enjoys a very light mouth feel and at 5.5% ABV it enjoys a year round spot at the bar.

Pale Ale 6pkbtl $9.99
The Royal Charter Pale Ale beer enjoys a citrus nose and is designed to be a sessionable beer. The beer starts off a well-balanced ale with plenty of malt backbone and the hops become 'alive' on the back end.  Unlike the typical west coast styles, the intensity of this full flavored hop does not become any more robust with each sip or pint, but rather remains stable.

IPA 6pkbtl $10.29

Charter Oak's IPA pours with a full head of foam and a rich amber shade. As you bring your glass up to your mouth, one can not help but enjoy the aroma of the citrus, floral, and piney from our fresh, finishing hops. Indeed, a familiar nose for most American west coast India Pale styles. Once the liquid reaches your tongue, the hops are loud and clear and as this IPA reaches the back of your palate, the hops only become more flavorful and intense.

Variety 12pkbtl $18.99

Beer Tasting - Thursday August 4th from 4-7pm

Boulevard Brewing Co.

Tank 7 - 750ml $9.49/ 4pkBTL $10.99
A straw colored, light to medium bodied beer with an earthy, spicy, grapefruit aroma and flavor, a soft, sweet malt flavor and a prominent hop bitterness.

Tell Tale Tart 4pkBTL $10.99
The subtle acidity of Tell-Tale Tart is answered by a soft, biscuity malt character, making this a sour ale that suggests, rather than announcing its tartness. Beginning with a bracing sharpness at first sip, the ale mellows on the palate to a smooth and faintly lingering finish.

The Calling IPA 4pkBTL $10.99

The Calling is an undeniable IPA. It's also our most heavily hopped beer ever, bursting forth with unmistakable tropical fruit and pine hop aromas and flavor supported with a slightly sweet malt character, tapering to a crisp, dry finish.

Misty Mountain IPA 6pcan $9.99

Ale 6pcan $9.69

Our Flagship offering, Back East Ale is a medium-bodied amber ale. This amber-colored beer features a subtle fruity aroma with hints of vanilla and peach. Showcasing Galaxy hops from New Zealand, Intergalactic Lupulinary features a juicy hop flavor and aroma.  Brewed with a lighter malt base, hoppy notes of citrus and tropical fruit orbit the palate leaving a resinous but clean finish.

Your Host:
Al from Sam Adams with
"The Nitro Project"

Nitro I.P.A 4pcan $10.49
Sam Adam's Nitro IPA is boldly bitter yet surprisingly smooth. Nitro can mute aroma and leave bitterness, particularly in IPAs, so to stand up to the creaminess of nitro we used heavy doses of dry hopping to achieve the resinous pine, spice, and citrus hop character we love. A fortitude of hop character remains with notes of resinous pine and citrus for a flavorful, lingering finish.

Coffee Stout 4pcan $10.49
Sam Adam's Nitro Coffee Stout is darkly enticing with its smooth, velvety cream that cascades into a jet black brew revealing a rich, robust character.  The dark roasted malts create notes of bittersweet chocolate with hints of dark fruit while the Sumatran & Indian Monsoon Malabar coffees develop a deep roasted dimension. For a deeper, yet smooth, flavor we steep the coffee beans in cold water to create an extraction that we add to this stout.

Pack Of Rebels 12pcan $16.69
