Centennial and Cascade hops, The taste is well balanced between the
malts and hops; there are notes of caramel and citrus flavors. It has a
mild amount of bitterness.
Hashbrown...$9.99 6pk

the flavors develop, the caramelized sweetness rapidly fades and the
stern toasty, roasty character of cocoa, coffee and burnt toast takes

their own grapefruit, orange peel, grassy and piney appeal. Bitterness
is sharp and clean even with hints of campfire that waft over the
resiny finish.IPA...$9.99 6pk A Nice hoppy aroma that leans toward the piney side but has some fruit to it as well; Starts with a moderately sweet caramel presence that is quickly overtaken by a fruity, piney bitterness that continues after the swallow; some residual sweetness on the finish

Thanksgiving Wine Pairings
The holidays feel so far away but the truth is that they are right on top of us and I ask myself, Where has the year gone?
It seems that everyone we talk to is having a difficult believing that we are this deep into 2015 but here we are with Thanksgiving just a couple of weeks away, Christmas will be right behind and we will be saying goodbye to 2015 before you know it. I think the warmer weather is throwing us all off a bit but turning the clocks back and watching the sun set at what feels like mid day leaves no doubt. 2015 is fading fast.
The good news is that we are in store for the most wonderful time of the year filled with family, friends and good cheer. Soon we will watch our local highschool football teams take on the perennial rivals and the turkey will be carved soon after while we gather with our loved ones and bow our heads in thanks for all that we have.
So then will come the annual question from our customer to our staff...
What should I serve with thanksgiving dinner?
Each year we find some our newest "perfect pairings" for the feast and this year is no different. We will be recommending what we think are just the right wine or beers to help you celebrate. Some of you will be partial to a red, some to white and many will want a bit of each and almost everyone will get a few great beer selection for the pre-meal football games. Whatever your preference our staff is ready to help you to pick just the right things for your particular gathering.
A couple of words of advice as we get ready to help:
-Turkey will pair well with many wines. The important thing to remember is that you want something that matches well with the sides you are serving.
-Bubbles put people in a good and celebratory mood. Having a sparkling wine to help get things started is always a hit.
-There are lots of desserts at most thanksgiving dinners so consider a wonderful desert wine or cordial to serve when the sweets come out.
-2015 is being touted a spectacular vintage around the world. Many consumers have given up on Beaujolais Nouveau over the last decade but this year might just be the vintage to give them another chance. We will have a tasting featuring many of this years selections on Saturday November 21st from 1-4pm. Let's see if the critics are right.
On to the recommendations...
Lucien Albrecht Cremant D'alsace Brut Rosé $17.99
Canard Duchené Brut Champagne $29.99
2014 Cheveau Macon Fuisse $21.99
2013 Silvan Ridge Pinot Gris $17.99

2013 Angeline Pinot Noir Reserve $14.99
2013 Seghesio Zinfandel Sonoma County $24.99
2012 Ondarre "Creator" Crianza $11.99
And the list goes on...
We look forward to seeing you in the coming days and weeks and we will do our best to make your celebration even better with carefully selected items suited to your particular needs.
-Cheers!

Beer Tasting 4 - 7pm Friday, October 30
Your Host:
Brett From Thimble Island
American Ale...6pkBTL $8.99
Our American ale is a great example of this classic beer style. It has great character, it’s full of aroma and flavor that’s light enough to drink during the summer and hearty enough to drink in the winter. It’s a beer for beer lovers.
Black and Tan...6kpBTL $9.29
Brand New!!
Coffee Stout.. 6pkBTL $9.69
Incorporating local craftsman was the inspiration for choosing coffee stout. This choice further emphasizes the founders' passion for quality craft. With a classic dark color and subtle, yet unmistakable, aroma of coffee this brew presents itself as a modern American craft-brewed stout. However it's surprisingly easy to drink and gives a nod to the traditional British stout with mellow hop presence.
Pumpkin Porter...6pkBTL $9.69
Poured murky dark brown with a tan head. Smelled like roasted malts with a wallop of spice. The taste was truly spectacular. You had a nice mix of the porter dark malts and their chocolate notes along with the pumpkin and strong spices like cinnamon and nutmeg. Some lingering smoky notes at the end
Double I.P.A...6pkBTL $11.69
Really great initial aroma of sweet citrus and herbal hops. Great strong flavor, definitely an unknown DIPA that can keep up with others. Big citra flavor here, super juicy hops and a nice sweet orange note.
I.P.A...6pkBTL $9.49
Cascade, Northern Brewer and Falconer's Flight hops provide a hint of citrus and are perfectly complimented by a strong malt profile. A 6.9% ABV adds a refreshing brightness to the beer while stopping just shy of the high alcohol levels of a double or imperial IPA. Crisp, refreshing and well balanced, we are proud to put fourth our IPA as part of the American craft beer revival.

Vigneti Del Vulture Pipoli Greco Fiano 2014 . . . $15.99
Pale lemon in color, with perfumes of citrus and a touch of stone fruit. Rich yet fresh with a lime zest character, which comes from the Greco fruit, balancing the richness.
Davis Bynum Russian River Chardonnay 2013 . . . $21.99
This Chardonnay has beautiful aromas of baked apple, citrus and white floral. On the palate the wine opens up with brioche, lemon meringue and toasty baking spices, with a lush finish that is balanced with acidity and a rich creaminess.
Sainte Eugenie Corbieres 2013 . . . $10.99
Rich, dark purple color. The wines presents a lovely array of fresh red berries, especially cherry and raspberry, with hints of flowers, spice and zest of orange. Full-bodied with rich, round tannins. Wonderfully complex and balanced. Satiny texture.
Bogle Phantom 2012 . . . $19.99
Full of juniper berry and spice, with just a wisp of toasted coconut hinting at the American oak aging. Sparkling rubies catch the light and tempt your first sip. Juicy plums and brawny blackberries are succulent and intoxicating, as the full bodied structure takes hold. Abundant, yet ripe tannins round out the palate, yet don’t overpower the red cranberry fruit. Aged for 24 months in 1 and 2 year-old American oak, Phantom exits with an enthralling and passionate finish.

Leisure Time . . . $9.69/6pbtl
Leisure Time is brewed with wheat and a blend of spices including lemongrass, coriander, orange peel, and chamomile. A subtle spiciness balances the citrusy and floral hops added to the whirl and hopback!
Hoponious Union . . . $9.69/6pbtl
Hoponius Union harmoniously combines lager yeast fermentation and West Coast IPA hops. Our India style Pale Lager is like a traditional IPA but with a twist – it’s fermented cold and aged for extended periods. A blend of classic American hops creates a huge tropical fruit and citrusy hop aroma. A dry finish accentuates the pleasant bitterness and hop profile.
Framighamer. . . $10.69/4pbtl
Big, bold, and black. This unusual lager style has many similarities to Imperial Stouts. A lengthy conditioning period creates a silky smooth chocolaty mouth feel enhanced by the use of oats and brown sugar. Noticeable sweetness gets balanced by roasted malt and hop bitterness. At 10% alcohol by volume, this beer is sure to keep you warm on a cold winter night.
Copper Legend . . . $9.69/6pbtl
Our Octoberfest is malty, smooth and exceedingly drinkable. It is perfect to celebrate and honor today’s legends. We use locally grown wheat from MA, Munich malt and noble hops.
