Wine Tasting - Saturday June 18th 2016

Weekly Wine Tasting
Saturday, June 18th
with Donna Pace of
Gathering Harvest

Parusso Rose 2015 $17.99
This Nebbiolo-based rose has light aromas and flavors of red berries, floral and mineral notes. It is delicately structured with some soft tannins, bright acidity, and a classy elegance that can pair with a variety of summer fare.

Fritz Windisch Niersteiner Kabinett 2014 $11.99
Anything But Riesling wouldbe closer to the truth. Riesling is tart, acidic andconfusing. We love its transparency, its ability to express nuances ofsoil type, its thrilling vivacity, balance and poise. These old vineyards in Nierstein with its deep redsoil retains the heat, and its wines often show exotic fruit flavors and are known for their freshness. Kabinett is typically semi-sweet with crisp acidity. These grapes are hand-picked, then de-stemmed and gently pressed, which makes Windisch-Wines the most enjoyable to the fanatical Riesling fans.

Ryan Patrick Naked Chardonnay 2014 $11.99

Crisp, ripe pear and apple, with a hint of apricot
and pineapple on the nose. A refreshing yet savory
un-oaked Chardonnay with a fresh fruit driven mid-palate
and an elegant pleasing finish.

Carol Shelton Wild Thing Zinfandel 2013 $19.99
Aromas of black cherry, plum and raspberry fruit combine with a beautiful hint of vanilla-oak loveliness, smoothly textured in mouth, very creamy and round, the finish is long and has lush jammy fruit this wine is dangerously good!
