Tasting notes: A rose of immense finesse and character - dry but with added weight and depth of fruit- - and with immediate rose petals on the palate. Bandol Rosè generally runs $10 to $20 higher in price than this gem. Here you are not asked to give up and of the beauty of Bandol and are still rewarded with great price. A true "find" for us
Varietals: Mouvedre, Grenache, Syrhah
Region: Bandol, Provence, France
Friday's answer: Our answers on Friday ran from the very obscure "Holy Rosary, Mission Texas" and "The church on an Elvis gospel record" (not everyone has figured out that this is about Fairfield), to the correct answer??... Greenfield Hill Congregational, and its significance to the weekend which was of course The Dogwood Festival. Interesting to note that we had many answers that were right but none actually "nailed it". There has been lots of involvement, both on facebook and in the store. We're surprised each day by the number of people commenting and/or asking questions while they are shopping with us. I had one person that hadn't seen some of the posts last week tell me that it was too easy but when we went through them for the week she wasn't able to come up with the answers, hmmm.
Today we have one that I think many of you will be able to answer. Lets see!
